Service Description: Regional wind field rasters are produced using the Tropical Cyclone Risk Model which applies a parametric wind field model (Powell et al., 2005) to each synthetic event to map the wind swath around each modelled track. This wind field model describes the intensity of the cyclone winds at ground level, incorporating the effects of the forward motion of the TC (Kepert, 2001).
