Service Description: The Queensland Resilience and Risk Reduction Fund has been established in partnership between the Commonwealth and Queensland governments to help communities better prepare for future disasters.
The QRRRF builds upon and replaces the $9.5 million Queensland Disaster Resilience Fund, with $13.1 million available under the QRRRF, jointly funded by the Queensland ($8.3 million) and Australian ($4.8 million) governments to support resilience and risk reduction projects. Eligible projects include infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects. This includes public education programs, the installation of warning systems, the development of regional resilience plans, and other opportunities identified by applicants that build community resilience to natural hazards, such as floods, cyclones and bushfires.
