Regional wind field rasters are produced using the Tropical Cyclone Risk Model which applies a parametric wind field model (Powell et al., 2005) to each synthetic event to map the wind swath around each modelled track. This wind field model describes the intensity of the cyclone winds at ground level, incorporating the effects of the forward motion of the TC (Kepert, 2001).<\/span><\/span><\/p> <\/p> Wind speeds given in m/s<\/span><\/p> Further information on wind fields for all scenarios including references, is available in the Severe Wind Hazard Assessment \u2013 Queensland project report<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>",
